General QuestionsWhat websites does NYSSA maintain?http://www.nysnowmobiler.com = the Public NYSSA Website which has both information for the snowmobiling public, and a private, members-only menu containing documents and information for NYSSA Members Only. The www.nyssnowassoc.org will direct you to the same web location, however, you will need to login a second time to access the NYSSA online forum. https://membership.nyssnowassoc.org = the Membership site, a secure website dedicated to processing memberships and vouchers. Are the logins the same for both sites?No. Because credit card info is processed on the membership site, a decision was made to have separate logins for the two sites.
Members-Only Accounts on the Public WebsiteI can't create an account.Please check to see what version of Internet Explorer you are using. To do this open Internet Explorer and click on HELP, then ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER. If you are using Version 6 or lower, you must upgrade before you can create an account. A free upgrade can be downloaded from Microsoft at the following link; http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx Why do I need my NYSSA Membership ID # to create an account?Your NYSSA Membership ID # is needed to verify that your NYSSA membership is current for this season. If you were previously a member and did not renew your membership for the current season, you will not be able to create an account. I am new to the sport and have never joined a Club.Please go to https://membership.nyssnowassoc.org/ and click on REGISTER. Once you have completed the registration form, an email will be sent to you so that you can activate your account. Once you activate your account, you will be logged in to the secure Membership website. Just go to the blue "Join a Club" section to select any Club in New York State and obtain a Club membership. When will the NYSSA Members-Only "Forum" be available?The NYSSA Members-Only Forum is available to all members. Your forum ID/Password are the same as your website ID/Password. If you access and login to the NYSSA website via the preferred URL of www.nysnowmobiler.com, you will automatically be logged into the online forum too. Membership WebsiteHow do I know if I'm registered for this site?If you have your NYSSA Member ID # (On NYSSA ID Card) and you supplied an e-mail address when joining, you are registered. You may obtain a password by using the Password Reset on the login screen. Your Club membership administrator or NYSSA ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) can supply your Member ID and enter your e-mail if needed. I need my voucher so I can go to DMV today. How can I get one?go to https://membership.nyssnowassoc.org/ and login with your NYSSA Membership ID # and password. What if I don't know my NYSSA Membership ID #Your NYSSA membership ID # may be found on your 2007-2008 Membership Card, or on your 2007-2008 Voucher. What if I forgot my password?If you're at https://membership.nyssnowassoc.org/ and you entered your NYSSA membership ID #, click on RESET PASSWORD. An email will be sent to your email address on file so that you may reset your password. Please be patient as this can take up to 30 minutes if the system is unusually busy. What if I changed my email address since last season?If you know your NYSSA membership ID # and password, you may login and change your email address (or mailing address, or telephone number, if needed). What if I didn't have an email address last season?If you were a club member last year, but did not supply an e-mail address, your personal data should already be in the membership database.
