The New York State Snowmobile Association is accepting proposals to provide its members with membership cards. Interested parties may download the Request for Proposal (RFP).

Sealed proposals for the 2009-10 snowmobile season MUST BE RECEIVED by the New York Snowmobile Association by 3:00pm EST July 24, 2009. Applicants, not delivery services or other intermediaries are responsible for timely submissions of proposals. Sealed proposals will be opened 4:00pm EST July 24, 2009.

NY Snowmobiling fares well in the 2009 Recreation Trails Program Grant Process

New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Carol Ash today announced $3.3 million in grant awards for 32 trail-related projects around the state as part of the federal Recreational Trails Program.

NYSSA member snowmobile clubs fared well, receiving 10 of the 32 total grants. In addition several grants awarded to municipalities were snowmobile related.

Bulk Sign Order Program - Order deadline July 3rd 2009 PDF Print

sign animationNYSSA is conducting a Bulk Sign Order program again in preparation for the 2009-2010 snowmobile season. This program offers a significant savings opportunity over clubs placing individual retail orders.

The pricing offered through the Bulk Sign Order Program offers up to a 60% savings over retail price.  Signs are available in two thicknesses, 0.050” thick and 0.070 thick.  There is no minimum order.
  • Payments must be mailed to NYSSA with the order form
  • If your club is tax exempt you must include the clubs tax exempt certificate, otherwise add the sales tax to your order per your counties sales tax rate.
  • Make checks payable to New York State Snowmobile Association
  • Ordering DEADLINE July 3, 2009
Sign order will be delivered to district directors at the August NYSSA Board of Directors meeting unless other arrangements have been made.

OPRHP 2008-2009 snowmobile report available PDF Print

The NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) Snowmobile Unit has published their 2008-2009 season report.  The report issued each year contains an overview of previous seasons snowmobile and funded trail statistics as well as the activities of the OPRHP Snowmobile Unit.
