Why Your Business Needs to Belong to the
New York State Snowmobile Association

Snowmobiling is Big in New York!

Snowmobiling is a $750 MILLION industry in New York State. There are well over 8000 miles of trails. Approximately 170 snowmobile clubs make up NYSSA. This year alone the number of registered snowmobiles rose from 126,000 in 2000 to over 146,000 in 2001, an increase of 16%. According to an Economic Impact Study conducted in 1998 snowmobilers spend an average of $75 each day they are on the trail!!!!

NYSSA Needs Your Help!!!!!!!

This year NYSSA hired the lobby firm, The Capital Group LLC to represent the interests of snowmobilers in Albany. Our lobbyists are working diligently toward increasing registration fees for snowmobilers. This will increase the amount of monies available for trail maintenance. NYSSA is well represented on many fronts fighting well-funded environmental groups to secure more trails and to keep the trails we have. Remember without trails your business may suffer! We need your support to keep snowmobiling thriving!!!!!!!!!!!

How Does NYSSA Help Your Business?

NYSSA is dedicated to improving the sport of snowmobiling. We are working toward expanding and improving New York's trail system. The more trails the better chance of more snowmobilers visiting your business.
Groups against snowmobiling are multi-million dollar organizations and even though we have made our presence known in Albany we are still not as strong or as loud as these other groups.
Help us try to level the playing field with these groups. Please support NYSSA and become a business member.
